Shai's Maternity Shoot at Eden Nature Park

A new baby is like the beginning of all things-wonder, hope, a dream of possibilities.
- Eda J. Le Shan

I've heard a lot of people say that having a baby (being pregnant) is a blessing and God's greatest miracle. If it's a miracle, then the greatest way to commemorate this is by having a MATERNITY PICTORIAL... with your friends! Hahahah..

The B's (Bitches) happen to be complete in attendance last week and we've decided to have a pictorial for Shai and her growing baby bump. We have the perfect venue for the shoot: Eden Nature Park. Eden was the perfect backdrop for the Pink & White Theme that we had in mind.

Nope, we're not totally prepared for this and we had just planned for the pictorial last Friday morning while the shoot will be on Saturday. We were so un-prepared that we do not have an official photographer.

Here's the best shots of our shoot:

How did we manage to get photos where the four of us are complete? Well, thank you to the camera timer, the friendly tourist Kuya, and the super accommodating Shuttle Driver.

Here's the beautiful, glowing and sexy Preggy!

We really weren't prepared at this level.  Imagine what we can do with one week's worth of preparation. Lol!

Beauty: Hello 3D NailArt!

Gone are the days of the french-tips and pussy red nail polished. It's now time to pave way to fiercer and risque-er nails! Divas, let's all welcome the 3D NailArt.

The 3D NailArt long before it became a trend, although it had just recently made its wave in Hollywood. I remember seeing Lady Gaga's rhinestoned-nails in her first music video, "Just Dance". Some thought it was outrageous while some thought it was just pure genius.

Now, almost everyone in Hollywood are using it, especially in award ceremonies like The Grammy's.  I was really surprised the other day while I was watching The Grammy's when !E had a "Mani Cam", a red carpet camera where your nails can do walking. Cool, huh?

Anyway, the 3D NailArt trend is slowly making its wave in the Philippines (though I haven't seen any local celebrity sporting this one yet).

Here are some totally out of this world 3D NailArt designs that I got from Yahoo!:

Want to renew your wedding vows? Do it the Hollywood-way by having your and your hubby's face on your nails like the Queen B, Beyonce.

P.S. Not child-friendly ^_^

Now this looks really awesome!

Now, these designs look really tempting. But, looking at them makes me wonder how the hell can I wash my baby's clothes if I will wear them.

I'll probably try this one out (again) once I've grown my nails a little bit. It will probably be a little challenging to have them but I am sure that it will be worth the hassle. Anyway, it's not easy to be beautiful. ^_^

How about you? Are you up for the 3D NailArt Challenge?

Making and Breaking Resolutions

Every year, billions of people create a list of things that they would try to do or change when it's time to welcome the New Year. The list is called a "New Year's Resolution".

According to Wikipedia, "New Year's resolution is a secular tradition, most common in the Western Hemisphere but also found in the Eastern Hemisphere, in which a person makes a promise to do an act of self-improvement or something slightly nice, such as opening doors for people beginning from New Year's Day."

For me, it's some sort of a guide of the things that you need to better yourself. A list that you can check every now and then that will keep you focused on your goal for the year. I think that it would be more effective when you would write it down in a piece of paper that you can keep in your wallet or post on your bedroom wall.

The only problem with resolutions is that they are hard to keep. You need an enormous will-power, determination and perseverance (cliche) for you to follow the list. You'll just end up breaking them. So why bother making them?

Here are some reasons that I can think of:

1.) You, at least, made an effort of trying to better yourself.

May it be living a healthier lifestyle, quitting smoking, drinking less, and the like.

2.) Making resolutions is FREE

Yeah, you don't have to spend a single penny just to do it.

3.) It's a list of some, if not all, things that you want to experience for the whole year...

...that you didn't do last year and the year before last year. It's just like a to-do list.

But, you know, whether you make or break your New Year's Resos is all up to you.  I guess you have to think realistically before creating them because honestly, it's kinda frustrating if you won't keep any of it.

So, what's my New Year's Resolution this year?

I think I'm going to pass and just go with the flow. ^_^

How about you, bitches?

May all (or some) of your dreams and aspirations come true this year.

Let's claim that this is going to be the year that we will get through our financial, emotional, spiritual and physical struggles.
